The bout finally takes place two-and-a-half years after the original contest was cancelled due to an adverse finding to a drugs test taken by Benn.

After fighting to clear his name, this contest marks the return to British boxing for Benn after a three year absence.

For Eubank Jr, victory is a must if he is to set up a second world title shot before his career comes to an end.

What has been said?

Eubank Sr has emphatically ruled out his attendance at his son's upcoming clash with Benn.

The pair haven't been on talking terms for a considerable stretch and only recently spoke to each other for the first time in two years at Harlem Eubank's fight with Tyrone McKenna in Brighton last month.

"I will not be an accomplice to their stupidity, their circus," Eubank Sr said during an interview with Seconds Out.

"It's against the rules what is happening, 147lbs fighting 160lbs is against the rules," Eubank Sr continued.

"When Kell Brook was made to fight GGG [Gennady Golovkin] it's against the rules.

"That boy [Brook] had his eye socket smashed. For promoters, it is just a game, but to the warriors, it is a way of life.

"We have to call them what they are, they are trash, they are trashing us. We are not trash, we are the standard bearers...

"If you are not clever and you are not noble, this [boxing] will kill you, this vocation, what they call sport.

"If you don't play it right already, Conor, you don't have a career to enjoy."

Benn's promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed his man is training like never before to settle the scores in London.

He told talkSPORT: "Honestly, I've never seen anyone train like Conor Benn.

"We live in an age where they like to document their work. Conor Benn is training like a man possessed.

"I think Chris Eubank's on the beach at the minute. He hits pads for about 30 seconds and then puts it out on Instagram.

"Conor Benn's so wound up. He ain't gonna listen to me.

"When they get face-to-face, all bets are off, anything can happen.

"The reality is, when they come face-to-face next week, Conor Benn wants it on sight now, not April 26th. He's ready to go."
