Josh Taylor will look to snap a two-bout losing streak when he returns to home turf for an exciting welterweight clash with Ekow Essuman this week, live on DAZN.

The Tartan Tornado, the former undisputed light-welterweight champion, has suffered defeats to Teofimo Lopez and Jack Catterall in his previous pair of outings.

Now, back in the ring for the first time since May last year, Taylor will hope to recover his groove at the division above, against a tricky foe with a strong record.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of Josh Taylor vs Ekow Essuman.

What has been said?

Josh Taylor Said:

"I'm back to being the hunter. I'm nothing at welterweight. I'm coming up to try and prove a point—that I can become a two-weight world champion."

"I’m doing it for myself. I’m being selfish here and being tunnel vision, making sure that I’m good."

"When I become a two-weight world champion then it's a good middle finger up to a lot of people."

"I believe I beat everyone at my best. When I'm firing on all cylinders, I beat every fighter in the world.",

Ekow Essuman Said:

"To be honest, I personally touted him as one of the higher talents on GB whilst I was there so I always had respect for him.

"I was always just shooting from the hip him, just being really honest and whatnot.

"He knows I respect him. I've been training hard for it because I know he's going to pose a hard puzzle to solve, but I am going to solve it."

"Regardless of if he has the answers or not, he will come apart because I'm not going to let anything else happen but that."
