Undefeated Katie Taylor will put her world titles on the line again this weekend when she takes on Argentine ace Karen Elizabeth Carabajal.
Katie Taylor is back in the ring for the first time since her famous win over Amanda Serrano earlier in the year. She faces Argentine fighter Karen Elizabeth Carabajal live on DAZN on October 29 (except Australia and New Zealand). Taylor and Serrano fought in what is seen as the biggest women’s boxing event of all time in May, when they fought at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Irish fighter retained all four of her lightweight belts on a judges' decision, and rather than wait indefinitely for a rematch, she has lined up another opponent.
There's also an IBF eliminator on the undercard, as European featherweight champion Jordan Gill takes on Spain's Kiko Martinez. The victor should go on to challenge current IBF champion, Josh Warrington.
Taylor vs Carabajal: Date and start time
The 10-round lightweight title clash is set to be held on Saturday, October 29.
It is taking place at Wembley Arena in London.
The card will get going at 6pm on the night with Taylor vs Carabajal expected from 10pm.
Taylor vs Carabajal: What’s been said?
Taylor made her debut at Wembley Arena in November 2016, seeing off Karina Kopinska.
Katie Taylor: “It’s hard to believe it’s been almost six years since I made my pro debut there so it’s great to go back now and headline.
“It’s been an amazing journey so far but there are still lots of great fights out there for me and I’m excited about what’s still to come.”
Carabajal: “I was very happy when I received the offer to challenge Katie.
“The hard work has paid off. I’m not thinking for a second about giving Katie a win. All the belts will come back to Argentina with me.”
