The main card is set to get underway at 5 p.m. ET local time in Guadalajara, which is 7 p.m. EDT / 12 a.m. BST / 1 a.m. CET, with the main event ringwalks scheduled for 11 p.m. ET / 4 a.m. BST / 5 a.m. CET. These timings could change due to the length of the undercard fights.
Canelo Alvarez:
“It is special after 12 years and everything I have achieved to return to my land as the best and be able to offer this experience,” Alvarez said. “I feel happy and grateful to the people because they saw me grow here and now coming back as the best in the world and giving the fight is an honor for me.”
John Ryder:
“They’ve done their research and seen the five losses on my record; obviously not against the same caliber of opposition that Canelo has faced, although he’s faced a lot of people I’ve lost to,” said Ryder.
