Serrano is a seven-division world champion, having held gold in the super-featherweight, junior-featherweight, lightweight, bantamweight, light-welterweight, and junior-bantamweight divisions.
She had her 28-fight win streak snapped against Taylor for the undisputed lightweight titles in April.
If Serrano, the IBF, WBC and WBO title holder, beats WBA champion Cruz, she will become the first Puerto Rican to hold the title of undisputed.
This undisputed title fight is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 4.The bout will be held at Madison Square Garden Theater in New York City.
The event is set to start at 1am on Sunday for UK fans and the Serrano vs Cruz fight expected at around 4am.
